Charlotte and Theodore sit at the top of Maine's 2025 name list, with 89 and 83 babies apiece.
The leaders aren't close races. Charlotte's 89 is nearly double the 45 counted for Eleanor and Amelia, who tie for second among girls. On the boys' side, Theodore edges Oliver's 77, and Henry follows just behind.
Movement is where this list gets interesting. Violet jumped 20 places to land fourth for girls with 44 babies, while Ivy climbed 10 to reach the girls' top ten. Among boys, Wesley rose 9 spots into sixth, with William close behind in his own climb.
A few familiar favorites slipped: Olivia dropped 5 places to seventh for girls, and Liam fell 2 to tenth for boys. Still, the list leans heavily on names that never seem to leave — Grace and Lucy for girls, Henry and James holding steady for boys.
