Popular Names in Georgia

Amelia overtakes Charlotte for the top of Georgia's 2025 girls list, while Liam and Noah keep the boys' top two spots in place.

Amelia's 450 babies put her two places up from last year, pushing Charlotte to second with 438 and Olivia to third with 418. Emma stays exactly where she was, at No. 4, and Evelyn's two-place climb earns her a share of No. 8 alongside Mia.

On the boys' side, Liam's 661 beats Noah's 653, a narrower gap than the girls' leaders hold. William and Elijah each move up a rung into third and fourth, while James gives up two spots to fifth. The biggest jump in either top ten belongs to Theodore, up five places to No. 9 with 315 babies.

Georgia's list reads like a mix of the timeless and the revived. Elizabeth and John carry the classic weight, Emma, Mia and Ava keep things short and simple, and Evelyn and Theodore show the softer, older-fashioned pull at the top. Only a handful of names gave up ground, with Olivia, Ava and James slipping furthest.
